The idea for Humble Shepherd first came to me back in 2024, right here in Horace, ND. But it wasn’t until a year later—after a life-changing moment—that the vision truly came to life. In mid 2025, my mom surprised my siblings and I with a brand new 8-week-old puppy—50% Pit Bull, 25% German Shepherd, and 25% Labrador Retriever. THE. DOG. CHANGED. MY. LIFE. That joyful gift quickly turned into a lesson in responsibility, patience, and the everyday realities of pet care. It was through that experience that I understood how valuable a service like this could be for busy families, seniors, and anyone who just doesn’t want to deal with the mess. So, I decided to take this seriously and get Humble Shepherd going.
“For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.” – Matthew 23:12
At Humble Shepherd, we know that scooping dog poop may not be glamorous. It’s a job many overlook or look down upon—but for us, it’s all about serving others. Jesus Christ showed us what true service looks like: humble, hands-on, and full of love. That’s the heart behind this business—to serve our neighbors with care, integrity, and a servant’s heart.
Our mission is rooted in community, cleanliness, and compassion. With every yard we clean, we aim to make North Dakota a little greener, homes a little healthier, and dog ownership a little easier. Choose Humble Shepherd for service that’s reliable, responsible, and rooted in real-life experience.
